George Yerger and Leslie Addison, a couple from New Orleans, collaborate on projects which often relate to the memories of their ancestors and the regions their families came from. The artists wanted to work interpretively with these photographs, so they were taken with a toy camera.  The nature of the plastic lens, light leaks and vignetting of the edges lent the picutres a moody lack of clarity charactistic of memories.  The camera encouraged them to work intuitively without the normal preoccupation of composition and exposure.
